Most supermarket systems have some additional fixtures attached beyond the shop floor cabinets.

Typically there will be two or more washbasins behind food serve-over units in most supermarkets. Back office facilities such as bakery units may also require sink connection. Additionally there may be requirements for floor drains, special units such as olive cabinets and ice making machines and even dishwashers. All these can be accommodated on the same system as a display cabinet condensate system. There is one limitation: water boils in a vacuum at 60C so boiling water flushed directly into a vacuum will flash to steam causing sudden expansion which could damage the system. Before connecting dishwashers or other appliances draining very hot water, it is essential to consult with AcornVac to assess the needs and risks.

Black water systems may be accommodated as well but it is often considered desirable to have two Vacuum Centres in parallel to keep the grey and black water completely separate. If you are considering a system requiring both black and grey waste removal, please consult with us and we will design a system to meet your exact requirements. We have installed many such systems for demanding environments such as high security prisons.
